Nokia’s X family of Android smartphones are headlining today’s morning at the MWC 2014. To get people more familiar with the X, X+ and XL, the Finns have launched an official hands-on video where the company details the most important features of the phones.
The trio of Nokia X smartphones are built on top of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and feature an interface similar to the Windows Phone 8 one. There’s Nokia Glance Screen, which gives you information of the time and pending notifications without the need to unlock the phone. Read more »

Live from the MWC 2014, Nokia’s CEO, Stephen Elop, has announced that the Nokia Asha family of devices is about to get treated to another major update, which will bring Microsoft’s OneDrive service and free streaming Mix Radio.

Nokia has taken to the stage at the MWC 2014 and the announcements are coming in thick and fast. One of the first announcements is some new apps for the Lumia platform, including BBM for Lumia.
BBM or BlackBerry Messenger has traditionally been limited to BlackBerry devices until it was made available on iOS and Android last year. Now BBM will also be available on Lumia devices, bringing it to an even wider audience. Read more »
Lenovo officially announced the Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ Android 4.3 Jelly Bean slate. As its name suggests, the newcomer features a 10” wide-view display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels.
Lenovo’s latest Android slate features the same design as the Yoga 10 which arrived in October last year. It features a kickstand with three different modes which include reading, gaming, and viewing images or video. Read more »

Wearables are a hot topic here at the MWC and Huawei brought its own – a smartwatch with a twist. The TalkBand B1 gets its name from being a Bluetooth headset that can be set into a rubberized band to be worn as a smartwatch.

The Huawei MediaPad X1 is the pinnacle of the company’s presentation on the MWC 2014. It is the most interesting device Huawei has brought to Barcelona and there is indeed a lot to discuss.

The LG F70 has a 4.5″ display of WVGA (480 x 800) resolution and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with LG’s customizations on top. LG is marketing it as a very affordable LTE device and has implemented a unique Knock Code, which will unlock the device after a specific knock sequence.
It works like a charm after you’ve gotten used to it and is innovative and intuitive. The feature also works nicely with one hand. There’s also the LG Guest Mode and more. Read more »
Leading the charge of the new LG Series III is the LG L90. Its 4.7″ IPS LCD display is of qHD resolution resulting in a pixel density of 234ppi. The display itself boasts nice colors and vieweing angles, but contrast isn’t particularly great.
Below the display, there’s a physical Home button sitting between a back and menu capacitive keys. On the dual SIM version, there’s no physical Home button, but four capacitive ones – back, home, menu and dual SIM manager.
LG G Pro 2 went official 10 days prior the MWC. It has already gone on sale in Korea, while US and Europe will be getting in in March and April.
The G Pro 2 is the successor of the Optimus G Pro phablet and upgrades all major specs. It comes with a larger 5.9″ 1080p IPS display, runs on the Snapdragon 800 chipset with 3GB of RAM, and comes with a 13MP camera with enhanced optical image stabilization (OIS+). Read more »
