Behind the beautiful design of the glass and aluminum body of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge, there is a lot that goes on to make the phones look and feel the way they are. Both the phones use glass on the front and back, with the S6 edge having a curved glass on the front, and both phones have an aluminum frame that goes around and inside the phones.

The glass on the S6 edge is made using a process called 3D thermoforming, where the glass is pressed between two moulds after heating it to 800 degree Celsius, which gives it the curved edges on either side and it is then polished to give it the desired finish. Read more »

ZTE Grand S3 went official just yesterday as the company’s latest flagship, which introduces Eyeprint ID biometric security service. ZTE is indeed the first manufacturer to implement this kind of technology into a mobile phone.

The ZTE Grand S3 packs a 5.5″ 1080p display and runs on the Snapdragon 801 chip with quad-core Krait 400 CPU at 2.5GHz, Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It also offers 16GB expandable storage, 16MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and an 8MP front selfie snapper. There is also LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi ac, Dolby Sound and a 3,100 mAh battery.

After Microsoft took over Nokia’s devices business we felt we’d never hold another Nokia device again. But as it turned out the company wasn’t done. It’s not exactly clear how much of Nokia there is in the Nokia N1 but after handling it we feel reassured that this is indeed a product of the quality-driven Finish brand we know and love.

When we first heard about the Saygus V2, we immediately warmed up to the idea of a smartphone with a duo of microSD card slots and wondered why anyone haven’t done this before. Archos has its focus firmly on tablets at MWC and pulled the wraps off three slates, sporting the company’s “Fusion Storage” technology. Using software algorithms, the tablets will combine built-in memory with microSD card capacity for a combined storage solution.

Sony announced the new Xperia Z4 Tablet and the Xperia M4 Aqua smartphone. The Z4 Tablet is the company’s latest flagship tablet while the M4 Aqua is more of a mid-range offering.

The Xperia Z4 Tablet has a 10.1-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 810 processor, 32GB memory, stereo speakers, 8 megapixel camera, and digital noise cancelling. It’s also IP68 certified, making it waterproof and dust resistant. Sony also made a Bluetooth keyboard for it to be used as a notebook. Read more »

Blackberry has announced that a new version of their popular messenger app is coming for both Android and iOS shortly. The new build will bring a lot of interesting features and make for an improved experience, tailored to use product-specific features, such as Apple’s Touch Id and the Android Wear platform.

Some of the more interesting additions to the app include a new Custom PIN feature. Users will be able to purchase a custom 6-8 character alpha-numeric pin form the BBM store for $1.99 a month. Another new opt-in payment option is the removal of advertisements from the messenger feed, which will set you back an additional $0.99 a month. This all sound way too price, but Blackberry does need all the income it can get right now. Read more »
