The latest trend of dust and waterproof smartphones continues with the newly launched Cat B15. The rugged device can withstand a 1.8 meter drop and being submerged in up to one meter of water for about 30 minutes.
The Cat B15 comes with a 4″ LCD display of 480 x 800 resolution, a capacitive multi-touch screen, Gorilla glass and wet finger tracking. The smartphone is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor along with 512 MB of RAM, and features a 5 megapixel rear camera, a VGA front-facer, 4 GB of inbuilt memory with a microSD slot and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Facebook announced partnerships with multiple mobile operators to provide free or discounted data access for its website usage. As we already know, much of the Facebook’s usage is from the mobile devices and the Mark Zuckerberg’s company is trying to make it easier on the wallets to access it.

HP has launched its first Android-based tablet, the HP Slate 7. The HP Slate 7 will be priced at a very competitive $169.99 and will go on sale in April.

Samsung seems all set to extend its tally of tablets with the Galaxy Note 8.0. A big ad of the 8″ slate was already spotted at the MWC grounds in Barcelona, but the device was now spotted publicly ahead of the announcement.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 was caught on camera near the entrance of the Mobile World Congress venue, while a group of Samsung PR girls were busy showing off the tablet in a photo-shoot. Read more »
