The Lumia 640 LTE has a 5″ HD display, Snapdragon 400 SoC with 1GB of RAM, and is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery. It runs on the latest available Windows Phone 8.1 with Update 2 and Lumia Denim, just like the XL model. Read more »

Snapdragon 810 didn’t turn out as great as many was hoping for – it is plagued by overheating issues and one major player – Samsung – has even opted out of Qualcomm’s services. Mediatek announced recently a new lineup of high-end SoC models with 10 and 12-core CPU configuration and the race for the next generation is now officially on.
The chip maker seems to be working on the 810 successors already – the Snapdragon 818 – and the purported specs are now out. Apparently the S818 SoC will also offer a 10-core processor, new and powerful Adreno 532 GPU, and LTE Cat. 10 connectivity. Read more »
LG G4, company’s latest flagship, went official last week with a 5.5″ Quad HD display, Snapdragon 808 chip with a six-core processor, and improved 16MP rear camera with OIS, F/1.8 and 4K video. This year LG focused on the design and user experience instead of packing just the latest tech available and you can tell it instantly when you see the LG G4.
While the LG G4 didn’t turn out the powerhouse some hoped for, it surely gathered lots of positive first impressions. Last week, in the aftermath of the G4 premiere, we put it against the Galaxy S6, One M9 and iPhone 6 Plus in our weekly poll. The poll is now over and the results are in. Read more »

LG G4 premiered yesterday and it looks quite promising. While the screen’s specs stay the same – a 5.5″ Quad HD unit, the panel is of a new Quantum variety for a superb color reproduction. The Snapdragon 808 chip isn’t the best the market has to offer, but hopefully it will still provide smooth real life performance, which is what counts at the end of the day.
The highlight of the LG G4 is the new 16MP OIS camera with F/1.8 lens, which should do even better than Galaxy S6′s 16MP F/1.9 snapper. We already did a proper hands-on with the device, but now you can also check its official short presentation. It’s shot from a drone with an LG G4, of course. Read more »
LG G4 is the first smartphone to run on the Snapdragon 808 chip. Qualcomm announced the 808 revision side by side with the flagship 810 model, but it is just now we are seeing it in action within the LG G4.
Snapdragon 808 offers a hexa-core 64-bit processor with two Cortex-A57 and four Cortex-A53 cores, an Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The LG G4, just like the G3, packs a 5.5″ Quad HD display, though it has been improved with an IPS Quantum panel for superb color reproduction.
The Snapdragon 808, according to LG, will provide equal performance for the day-to-day tasks as the Samsung’s Exynos 7420 top dog. We managed to run some benchmarks on the LG G4 Korean unit displayed at the event. The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and we’d reckon the software should be pretty much final since the phone is launching in its home country tomorrow. Read more »
