Two TVs in one week – Xiaomi unveiled a 55″ 4K TV for CNY 5,000 ($800/€750). That’s the biggest Xiaomi Mi TV yet, the previous models were 49″ and 40″. Interestingly, the new Mi TV comes with a 6.2 sound bar and wireless all-aluminum subwoofer included in the box.
It’s a smart TV with an upgraded chipset, MStar 6A928.
It features a 1.4GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and Mali-T760 GPU. It’s capable of decoding 2160p@60fps footage. H.265 video and 10-bit modes are supported too (anime fans should be pleased). The TV can also accept 2160p@60fps input from the HDMI 2.0 port.
The Xiaomi Mi TV 55″ will be available starting April 8 and you won’t need reservations to get one in China. As usual, international purchases are an iffy subject.
