Following the update of the AOSP repository with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop, Google has made available the Lollipop factory images for the Nexus Player (fugu) and Nexus 9 Wi-Fi (volantis) tablet.
The binary image files allow you to restore the two devices to their original factory firmware. As suggested by a report by Android Police, the proprietary drivers for the Nexus 9 are included in a separate partition of the Nexus 9 factory image and aren’t available as standalone files.
Follow the source link below to check out the images. They’ll be of use to developers who want to extract the latest Google Apps from them and include them as separate files.
Nevertheless, everyone is eagerly awaiting the factory images for the Nexus 5, Nexus 7 2013 and 2012. Because of bugs found in the last moment before pushing the OTA update for those devices, Google has postponed the release for November 12.
