Acer is holding a press event next week on April 29 in New York. As the teaser image suggests, the company will unveiling several new devices.
The snippet in the far right suggests that a refreshed Iconia Tab B1-730 should be part of the new lineup. Rumor has it the Iconia Tab B1-730 will be powered by Intel’s Atom Z2560, which means the slate will come with a dual-core 1.6GHz processor, PowerVR SGX544MP2 graphics and 1GB of RAM. It will also feature 8 or 16 GB expandable storage, a 5MP rear camera and a 3,700 mAh battery.
Its predecessor, the Iconia Tab B1-720 was released in January sporting a MediaTek dual-core chipset and a 7″ 1024×600 display. The new Tab B1-730 will run on a dual-core Atom Z2560 SoC and will upgrade the display resolution up to 1280×800 pixels.
Amazon.de already has the Acer Iconia Tab B1-730 listed at €139, so we guess it should begin shipping shortly after its official premiere next week. We also noticed Amazon lists the CPU manufacturer as NVIDIA, but we’ll have to wait for official confirmation on this.
