Just as planned, Microsoft has just launched the new OneDrive service – the renamed and updated SkyDrive. In case you need a refresh, Microsoft was forced to rename its cloud storage service after a trademark infringement. Now, the rebranded cloud storage service OneDrive got an updated version of its Android app
OneDrive is available to anyone – either existing or new user and the updated Android app brings brand new subscription services. You can opt for additional 50GB cloud storage for $4.49 per month of you can get 200GB for $11.49/month. The yearly plans are still available, though, and will be cheaper in the long run.
Other changes to the app include improved support for working with Office Mobile for Android and OneNote, including editing Office documents, larger thumbnails and nicer photo views and general bug fixes and performance improvements.
You may want to follow the official OneDrive account on Twitter. Microsoft will be giving freebees today as high as 100GB free storage.
