Apple iPad camera connection kit review

by 874 comments

As a photographer, I was eager to see if my iPad could serve the double purpose of storing my photos and videos when I’m out in the field.

Typically Apple, the iPad camera connection kit was posted in their online store with only the bare minimum of information. I went ahead and bought one anyway and now that I’ve been using it for a week now, I’m ready to pass on everything you may need to know about this little bit of hardware (plus some things you may never need).

Updated: iOS 4 Gold is here, iPhone 3G getting the cold shoulder on new features, my rant follows

by 137 comments

I was anxious to try out the iOS 4 on my iPhone 3G ever since it was announced so you can imagine how impatient I was to install the iOS 4 Gold – the final developer’s beta that was unlocked for installation to non-developer’s iPhones. Waiting until 21 June to get the final version was simply not an option.

Angry Birds had been one of the first “blockbuster” games that have their HD versions for iPad. The gaming interface is the same as on the iPhone, but the experience is quite different. The larger graphics are much nicer, plus aiming and bombing pigs is that much easier. Read more »

Taking panoramic shots of Barcelona with the Sony Ericsson Vivaz

by 316 comments

We finally made it to Barcelona and as you have noticed on our frontpage, we’ve been as busy as little bees collecting info about the latest upcoming phones from all camps. I brought along with me the Sony Ericsson Vivaz on this trip and I’ve been enjoying exploring some of its features.

The ease of use of the panorama mode impressed me most so here are several panoramas that I shot on the go with it:

I’m not saying the Vivaz pano mode is unmatched by any other mobile phone, it just happens that I have this one handy. I hope you enjoy the photos.
