Not many technologies can boast turning into every day, household terms and even the select few that can are nowhere near as revolutionary as Google’s world changing search platform. This one-of-a-kind information hub that drives most of today’s online traffic is constantly getting better at what it does and is receiving a lot of much-deserved care and attention by users and developers alike.

A new update to Google search now delivers answers so fast that it is kind of creepy. The concept is simple enough – if Google can give you a concise and definite answer as you type your question, why wait for you to do so? Xiaomi Mi Band can now sync with Google Fit

Xiaomi’s Mi Fit app has just received a new update. The fitness tracker, specifically designed to work with the company’s inexpensive Mi Band tracker, now has integration with Google’s Fit platform.

This definitely simplifies data tracking on most Android devices. Up until now, the Android Mi Fit app was mostly closed off from data exchange, which is kind of odd, considering the company’s iOS application already has integration with Healthkit. Now, using the Google Fit API, your Mi Band, or rather Mi Fit, can feed information into Google’s platform, so, you can use both without dealing with the hustle of conflicting data. Read more »

Apple to open factory in India

Industry sources hint at the possibility of Apple manufacturing base opening doors in India. Allegedly, Foxconn, one of the company’s biggest manufacturer, has already taken initial steps to open a manufacturing facility in Maharashtra, west India.

The states Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, has allegedly given the project a green light and views it as a splendid opportunity to open new jobs for the region and boost its economy. The new facility might be modeled after Foxconn’s plant in the Henan province. This is indicative of the manufacturing scale the company is preparing to bring to India. Sony Xperia Z3+ promotional video brags about two day battery life

Today, the Sony Xperia Z3+ finally saw the light of day. Just as promised, the Xperia Z3+, also known as the Xperia Z4 in Japan, made it to international markets and along comes a the first promotional videos for the new handset.

Just popped-up in Sony Xperia’s official YouTube channel, the video promotes the phone’s battery life, which the company claims is up to two days. Frankly, this isn’t really all that impressive, but, at least, the video is nicely made, so there is that. Read more »

The LG Watch Urbane is a beautifully crafted gadget with a more sophisticated, even business-like demeanor. A single glance is enough to see that the Watch Urbane isn’t a fitness tracker and is definitely not sporty in any way. O2 UK currently has an impressive promotion up for grabs. Two Windows Phone Lumia devices can be picked up with a £40 discount. One is the Nokia Lumia 930 and the other, the Lumia 735.

The LG G4 was last in line in this year’s set of major flagship announcements, but, even though it arrived a little late to the show, the Korean tech giant intends to hit hard with the intriguing device and one such effort is this latest promotion. Even though, the smartphone is still available only as a preorder in the US, LG has already promised that if you purchase it, you can receive a pretty good gift bundle, for no extra charge.

First batch of Pebble Time watches should start shipping on May 27

Pebble has managed to earn a formidable reputation on the smartwatch market. The company’s battery life-first approach tends to stand out among the competition and this definitely has its appeal. So much so, that you might recall the manufacturer’s latest creation – the Pebble Time, shattered Kickstarter funding records earlier this year.

Everybody was keeping an eye on the impressive crowd-finding campaign, but now, after it has raised well over $20 million, it is time to get production moving and deliver on some promises. Today, we got an update with an estimated shipping date for the initial batch of units. Oppo R7 performance benchmarks

As you probably noticed we got the chance to spend to quality time with the newly announced Oppo R7. We already gave you live shots, camera samples and our first hand impressions of the company’s latest flagship.

Now we also have a few benchmark tests to try and see what kind of performance the Snapdragon 615 chipset delivers. This might be Qualcomm’s mid-range offering, but the R7 has some great aspirations so it’s important that the company got the most of it. The smartphone will launch on Android 4.4 KitKat, which is what also powers powers our test unit, so we do expect a small boost later down the road when the Lollipop update arrives. Read more »

Avengers themed accessories for Galaxy S6 will be available in a few days

Samsung’s tight collaboration with Marvel has been going strong ever since the two companies teamed up in June last year. The partnership has been mostly on the media front and the two smartphones did have a prominent place in Marvel’s latest Avengers: Age of Ultron movie.

It comes as no surprise that, on the flip side of the deal, we will be seeing a lot of Avengers-themed merchandise from Samsung. The Korean tech giant has already started teasing some of these products, including TouchWiz themes and a limited edition Galaxy S6 edge series, starting with an Iron Man edition and probably more superhero skins yet to come.
