The Android Market in-app billing is now live, Angry Birds Rio to hit the Market this week

Google has just announced it’s done testing the in-app billing functionality and it’s now available to the developers and supported by the Android Market.

The in-app billing will allow the try-and-buy apps, upgrades and other virtual goods – similar to the in-app billing within the Apple AppStore.

There are already several apps that support in-app billing – Tap Tap Revenge, Comics, Gun Bros, Deer Hunter, Challenge HD, Dungeon Defenders and WSOP3.

In other news, the previously exclusive for the Amazon AppStore – Angry Birds Rio – will hit the Android Market later this week in an ad-supported format. The Amazon’s AppStore ad-free version is also free for a limited time, so hurry up before the offer expires.
