Samsung has been running an aggressive marketing campaign in the UK for a while now, but this is pretty big even for the Korean giant. The company is renaming Terminal 5 at Heathrow airport to “Terminal Galaxy S5″ in its latest attempt to push its latest flagship into the spotlight.
Everything over at Terminal 5 will sport a piece of Galaxy S5 marketing – wayfinding boards, lounges, security at the gates, all 172 digital screens as well as the terminal’s website. The campaign will run for two weeks starting May 19. Demo Galaxy S5 units will be available for tryouts a Dixons Travel stores at the terminal.
Vice President, Corporate Marketing, at Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland, Russel Taylor is quite proud of the campaign. He says that Samsung “pushes the boundaries like no other brand has been allowed to do before.”
