New Chrome for Android beta update

There is a new update for Chrome for Android Beta, the mobile version of the popular Chrome browser from Google. (No, they haven’t added Flash support)

Keep in mind that this is still a beta, so some issues may still be expected. The one’s that Google are aware of include:

  • No way to toggle between desktop and mobile versions of a site.
  • Youtube links do not prompt which application to open with.
  • Chrome for Android is unable to use custom proxy settings.

Besides bug fixes, the new update adds support for various distributions of Android 4.0, which means that those of you running custom ICS ROM’s might want to give the new version a try, in the event the browser wasn’t working previously.
