Asus ZenWatch arrives in the UK one day early

Having already made its way to the USA, the Asus ZenWatch was supposed to finally make its debut in the UK tomorrow. But, for whatever reason, the wearable was launched one day early, as you can already buy one today.

Like we told you before, for now the ZenWatch is exclusive to Currys PC World. So you can only purchase one from those two outlets. The situation may change in the future, of course.

As for pricing, unfortunately the previously anticipated amount of £199.99 did pan out. This makes the smartwatch a lot more expensive in the UK than it is in the US (where it’s priced at $199.99). We’re used to such amounts being turned into euros without any conversion (so in this case it would cost €199), but to see that for pounds is quite rare.

Anyway, if you’re in the UK and want a ZenWatch just know you’re being made to pay more than others. The smartwatch runs Android Wear, and it sports a 1.63-inch AMOLED touchscreen with 320×320 resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC with a 1.2 GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, and a bunch of sensors to track your every move. Its dimensions are 51 x 40 x 9.4 mm, and it weighs 75g.
