Android Wear gets an update, now available on Gear Live and G Watch

Google is seeding the first firmware update for the Android Wear-powered smartwatches. Naturally, the Samsung Gear Live and LG G Watch are now getting it over-the-air.

The update contains critical bug fixes, including to the issues with inverted colors and dimming displays.

The new build is still based on the initial version, so there is nothing major in terms of new features, as you can imagine.

The LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live will hit the shelves in a few days, but there are lots of people already wearing one – for example, the Google I/O attendees.

Just yesterday we’ve informed you both Gear Live and G Watch are running on downclocked Snapdragon 400 chipsets. The lack of fragmentation and custom launchers is the reason all Android Wear devices will likely be getting such prompt updates now and in the future.
