Rumor has it, you’ll be soon able to make voice calls directly from your Gmail inbox. Groundbreaking? I don’t know. But the important thing is this makes things much easier. No need to download dedicated apps or whatsoever.
According to CNET, this will be a Skype-like web-based VoIP client integrated into the Gmail inbox which will allow you to place voice phone calls from the inbox itself. That is so much better than just being able to chat with some friends while checking your email.
Google is still mum on the matter and there is no information when the new service will be launched officially but chances are it won’t take too long.
