With the Galaxy S4 being more of a evolution than a revolution in the Samsung’s smartphone design language, reports are flying in today that the company’s top executives have met in Seoul to discuss where the look of its products, both internal and external, is going.
Codenamed simply “Design 3.0″, the initiative will have the complex task at hand to sculpture the future product design language of Samsung. Reportedly, the company’s chiefs want their products to stand out and pack “positive values”.
Co-CEO and Representative Director at Samsung Yoon Boo-keun has told The Korea Herald that during the meeting “new ideas on current design trend in the electronics market and strategies were exchanged”. Nothing more regarding “Design 3.0″ has been unveiled, as probably it is in very early stages of development. At the meeting, which was held today however, everyone has agreed that “consumers should be able to identify Samsung products easily.”
Judging from the vague information on “Design 3.0″, we’d recommend that you don’t hold your breath on it incarnating in the upcoming Galaxy Note III.
Whatever the Samsung’s new design direction may be, the company’s top dogs would prefer if it still manages to keep the Korean’s as the number one smartphone manufacturer in the world.
