The Memory Solution CIO Forum 2012 in South Korea is in full swing today and Samsung has announced its new line-up of DDR3 RAM and SSD built using the 20nm manufacturing process.
The SSD comes with support for SATA 6.0Gb/s and will be exclusively used for server units and SAS interfaces for enterprise storage.
Sammy says the new memory will increase datacenter performance up to six times, while lowering the power consumption by 20 percent. When used as storage (RAID), the power consumption will drop as much as 60 percent, compared to the 40nm-class HDD.
