Opera for Android updated with new Chromium, video downloads and faster start-up

Opera for Android, one of most popular third-party browsers for the Google OS has been updated. The latest version of the browser now runs on Chromium 28, which is a lot faster than ever before.

Opera for Android now has an improved start-up time along with improved tab-UI animations. The update also brings a new “open in private tab” context menu and has updated the overall translations.

Furthermore, Opera for Android now lets you open files from the external memory card and has improved the wingsuit capabilities. Opera has also updated its cookie clearing mechanism, discover improvements and brough bug fixes to full screen web pages.

Opera has also upgraded its download manager, which now allows you to download video files that can be played in Opera. Lastly, you can now set the location where you want the files to be downloaded on your phone.

The updated version of Opera for Android can be downloaded in the Google Play Store.
