NVIDIA launches GeForce 300 series cards, available as OEM only

Without any proper intro, NVIDIA launched the GeForce 300 family cards today. The series consists of five new models, which will be available only through OEM channels.

The reason there is no press buzz surrounding the GeForce 300 series is that they are identical to those in the 200 series, but bundled with the latest GDDR5 memory. The currently planned models are GT 340 (doubling GT 240), GT 300 (most probably doubling GTS 240), GT 320 (doubling GT 220) and the low-end 315 and 310 cards.

All of the NVIDIA GeForce 300 siblings will be available only through OEM channels. The Fermi-based (GF100) NVIDIA cards will launch on 26 March with the two champs – the GTX 480 and GTX 470.
