Nokia X7-00 drops by for a visit, Symbian Anna looks good on a 4-incher

The Nokia X7-00 is here and we’ve prepared a video and a couple of pictures for you guys to enjoy. It has a very interesting (not to mention geekishly charming) design and most importantly, it features the latest version of Symbian – Anna.

We’ve already seen Symbian Anna in action on the E6 messenger phone. It even came in touchscreen fashion but on the much smaller 2.46″ landscape display. Now that the OS has ample 4″ screen real estate to work with, it can give its best.

Specs-wise the X7-00 is hardly anything new – it’s got an nHD (360×640) AMOLED-Gorilla Glass display (not ClearBlack), 256MB worth of RAM, HSDPA 10.2 Mbps and a 680 MHz ARM 11 processor with Broadcom GPU. The finishing touch is the 8 MP fixed focus (sigh!) snapper with a dual-LED flash on the back (think Nokia E7).

All of the above actually measures up to the year old Nokia C7, save for the larger display. And it’s hardly impressive when you realize it’s 2011 – the year of the mobile dual-core revolution.

But enough talking, here’s our first demo video of the Nokia X7 complete with our traditional unboxing routine:

We’re already hard at work on a dedicated preview of the device, which apart from everything else, feels solid and premium, and truly cool when you hold it in hand.
