Moto X wood panels get discounted to $25, new finishes are on the way

Motorola gave a drastic price reduction to the natural wood finish back covers for the Moto X. The fashionable option for the smartphone now costs only $25 in Moto Maker, compared to $100 when initially announced last month.

In addition to the currently available bamboo finish for the Moto X, Motorola announced three new wood options on the way. Starting on January 21, customers will also have the choice of walnut, teak, and ebony wood for the back of their Moto X.

The Moto X is currently priced at $399 with no contract in the United States. This week, the characterful handset officially made its way to the European market as well.
