Kurio announces Kids phone, leaves control with the parents

Are you worried about your kid misusing their cell phone? Well, Kurio’s newest smartphone named Kids Phone will put your mind at ease.

Kurio is giving a smartphone to both the parent as well as the kid to be happy about and guess what, you can keep a track of whatever your kid does on his phone.

Furthermore, you can control the access for applications that can be launched and you also get to set the data limit on your kid’s phone. As a parent, you can monitor your child’s location and get notifications when your boy leaves a certain boundary.

Kurio has got its Genius Internet filtering system, which allows you to restrict the websites your kid can access and you can also control the calling and texting features of the phone along with the ability to remotely lock or erase the data on the kid’s phone.

Both the parent as well as the kid’s phone will sport a 4-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The smartphones will be powered by multi-core processor along with 1 GB of RAM and will feature rear and front facing cameras. The device will have 8 GB of internal memory with the option to expand it by up to 32 GB via microSD card and connectivity options such as 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth on board.

Unfortunately, there is no official word on the pricing and the availability of the Kurio phone at the moment.
