Google+ gets its own Share button, makes you wonder what to do with the +1

Kind of unexpected, but not totally surprising either, Google has announced the launch of a dedicated Google+ Share button.

The new feature is aimed at users who just want to share content with their Google+ buddies, without publicly marking it with +1.

The button works just like the old +1 button and goes red when you’ve used it and shared a story.

It all sounds great, but out first impressions with it are a bit mixed. As you’ll see on this very page, we’ve put the new Google+ Share button for a test drive, and it doesn’t seem to distinguish those who have just +1′d from those who just shared a page.

This is a great opportunity for you to test it out and see how it works.
