Google is bringing spoken notifications to Nexus lineup

The Hands-free feature available in the Motorola Moto X, which reads out loud your notifications, is most probably coming to the Nexus series with the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

Apparently some users have found the Hands-free option in their Settings menu right after updating to Lollipop, only to disappear as soon as you close the menu.

While the feature can’t be activate within the current Android Lollipop build, the bug confirms that Google is actually working on bringing the feature to the Nexus smartphones and slates. If it works as on the Moto X, then you will be able to ask your Nexus “What’s up” or similar and it will speak out your unread notifications.

I guess we’ll have to wait for the next Lollipop update for this feature to be finished though.
