CyanogenMod 11 M12 snapshot is out with security in focus

The earnest team over at CyanogenMod have churned out another snapshot of the CM11 ROM. M12 doesn’t add new features, but instead focuses on bringing CyanogenMod 11 closer to a stable build and patching the POODLE vulnerability in SSLv3.

While CyanogenMod 11 is still only Android 4.4.4 KitKat, the CM team has some news concerning Android 5.0 Lollipop as well. The team started work on a Lollipop update a week ago and expects its nightly CyanogenMod 12 builds to arrive between the end of this month and the beginning of the next one.

Before a Lollipop build of CyanogenMod can arrive the dev team needs to incorporate its own features like the recent Scramble PIN, heavy customization options, theme engine, privacy guard, etc. into the new code and Material Design look.

The M12 snapshot of CyanogenMod 11 is out for a heap of smartphones and tablets. You can find the firmware download for your device here.
