BBC iPlayer goes international, lands first on the iPad

BBC is already running the iPlayer service in UK, allowing its viewers to catch up with all TV and radio shows aired in the past seven days. Its first international landing will be on the iPad, where all users will be able to watch on demand their favorite shows from the past week.

The popular iPlayer is already available for free on various devices (incl. PC) across the UK, but the first international premiere would be on the iPad.

The service is available as paid subscription-only and it will allow you to watch/listen all BBC shows from the past seven days. You will also be able to store them on the device, but there is a deadline (week or month) and then they’ll expire and will be deleted.

BBC definitely makes a move into the right direction.
