Last week we wanted your take on another device released last month at IFA – the Sony Xperia Z3, and how it stacks up against the current crop of Android flagship competition.
The stylish aluminum frame, dual-glass panel design and IP68 waterproof certification was enough to put it ahead of devices like the HTC One (M8) and Samsung Galaxy S5. Let’s take a look at the scores.
The HTC One (M8) is the only one of the challengers that features metal construction like the Xperia Z3, making it the only one to be able to hold its own against the Z3 in terms of design. In your eyes however, the Xperia Z3 handily outclassed the HTC flagship by a score of nearly 2:1.
Our next matchup involves the popular Samsung Galaxy S5. The added extras like fingerprint sensor and heart rate monitor were not enough to give it the edge, however, as it too lost handily to the Sony offering.
LGs G3 flagship comes in as the only QHD flagship in our shootout, and manages to fit in a 5.5-inch display of 1440 x 2560px at only slightly larger dimensions than the Xperia Z3. Although it put up more of a fight than the One (M8) and Galaxy S5, it too fell by the wayside in the wake of the Sony Xperia Z3.
The Sony Xperia Z3 is a stylish and capable device with a proven pedigree – a winning formula as reflected in your voting results. For our take on Sony’s latest flagship, check out our comprehensive review.
