Samsung’s new line of Ultra HD TVs will offer more than just higher resolution; they will also come with the ability to stream 4K video from various online services.
So far Amazon, Netflix, Comcast/Xfinity, M-Go, and DirecTV are all on board and cooperating with Samsung to allow their high-res content to stream through the Smart Hub app: the built-in software on the Korean manufacturer’s televisions.
If you’re not subscribed to any of these services but still want some Ultra HD goodness on your new TV, you can purchase a UHD Video Pack directly from Samsung. It comes with a bunch of 4K movies and documentaries, as well as the ability to download 50 shows throughout the year.
True, there’s a dearth of 4K content out there right now, but Samsung hopes that by providing Ultra HD content at the inception of their latest TV lineup, they’ll snag some early adopters. Will you be one of them?
