Samsung Galaxy Tab renamed to Galaxy Tape, Super AMOLED and 1.2GHz CPU inside

The Vietnamese guys from Tinhte have just shed some light on the Samsung 7-inch Galaxy tablet.

The first thing to note is its changed name – it seems Galaxy Tab will be dropped in favor of Galaxy Tape.


There is also a refresh on the specs – Samsung Galaxy Tape will be coming with Super AMOLED screen after all. It will also pack 1.2GHz A8 processor, 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot and a 4000 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Tape will run on Android v2.2 Froyo skinned with the latest TouchWiz UI.

With specs like these, the Galaxy Tape will be a strong competitor. I personally can’t wait to put my hands on this tablet.
