PlayStation 3 finally jailbroken, 100 euro frees it from its shackles

PlayStation 3 finally got hacked and playing games from ISO images is now possible. The tools are on a USB flash drive, which is currently selling for 100 euro. It’s expensive to be a pirate these days.


The jailbreak software is compatible with both Standard and Slim consoles, the only requirement is firmware version 3.41 or later.

With your PlayStation 3 jailbroken, you will be able to play games from backed-up ISO images. All current games are compatible. Check out the video below to see how its done.

I’m not sure how this thingy could be so much expensive. In the end of the day it’s software, which could be easily copied.

I don’t support game piracy, but this could finally boosts the still comparatively low PlayStation 3 sales (though at expense of game developers).
