Pebble smartwatch gains Windows Phone support through an unofficial app

The popular Pebble smartwatch received Windows Phone support via a third-party solution called Pebble Watch Pro. Created by Bad Planet Software, the application is geared towards Windows Phone 8 devices.

Despite not offering the full experience, the unofficial WP app allows users to receive a number of useful alerts from their device to a Pebble smartwatch. They include calendar, battery, network, and Twitter notifications.

Users can also control the music player of their device from their smartwatch. The trick is done from the Pebble music app.

Pebble Watch Pro is priced at $1.99 in the Windows Phone Marketplace. Pebble Watch Lite with limited functionality is available for free.
