OnePlus One gets torn down by iFixit

The much talked-about OnePlus One smartphone was given the iFixit treatment. The folks from the popular repair manual website disassembled a top of the line 64GB version of the CyanogenMod device.

As usual, the iFixit teardown gives us a close look at the OnePlus One’s internals. They include Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB of RAM made by Samsung, 64GB of flash memory made by Toshiba, and 13MP Sony Exmor IMX 214 CMOS camera sensor.

The OnePlus One got the average repairability score of 5 out of 10. The handset scored points for the lack of proprietary screws and the modular components used in its making. However, tricky to remove battery, as well as fused together LCD and digitizer prevented the handset from achieving a better score.
