LG Optimus Black arrives with a bang, let the unblackboxing begin [VIDEO]

Well, look what the mailman brought to our door today. A big black box – big enough to house a tablet – certainly not your average cellphone box. And inside it, we found a big black book.

A few pages later we found the LG Optimus Black waiting quietly inside. But the box held more surprises than that.

Below the phone’s bed – the big black book, we find a bunch of the usual black accessories – a 2GB microSD card, a headset, a USB cable and a charger. But wait, there’s more – a black notebook (with black pages!) and a black pencil (with black rubber!). Don’t worry though, the pencil’s graphite is shiny grey and writes just fine on the black paper.

So, the LG took the whole black thing very seriously putting the Optimus Black into a one of a kind package. It’s nothing special really, but premium is written all over it. It makes you feel special and makes you feel that the phone is special, even before you turn it on for the first time.

Now that the Optimus Black is here, we’ll be getting down to business. We’ll publish a demo UI video shortly.

Update: Unfortunately, LG has just confirmed our black box is a limited edition and the LG Optimus Black will be sold in a simpler retail box.
