Hewlett-Packard will feature Bang & Olufsen audio in its products going forward. Previously, the PC manufacturer had a partnership with Beats Audio, which was struck before its acquisition by Apple.
The first HP products with audio tech from the Danish company will appear this spring. The product families by HP what will get the Bang & Olufsen treatment include Spectre, Omen, and Envy among others.
HP’s lower end Pavilion PCs and tablet will include B&O Play tech on board. The same goes for the company’s audio accessories.
Bang & Olufsen is a decidedly more premium brand than Beats Audio, so it looks like the move is a good step for HP. The company can use the Beats logo and tech through 2015.
