HP and Michael Bastian introduce MB Chronowing smartwatch

Smartwatches are in and HP wants a piece of the action. Instead of going for an established, feature-rich platform, HP went for style and partnered with Michael Bastian for a more classic watch look and durability.

The base model features a 44mm stainless steel casing, three exchangeable straps, 5ATM (50m) water resistance and a week of battery life.

The straps included in the box are perforated brown leather, olive green nylon and black rubber. An MB Chronowing Limited Edition black switches that for an alligator leather strap and adds sapphire glass plus all-black PVD painting.

Feature-wise the watch is fairly limited – it connects via Bluetooth to an iPhone 4S+ or Android 4.3+ device and can show texts and messages, calendar events, music control, sport game scores or stock prices.

The MB Chronowing will be available exclusively on Gilt, sales start on November 7 for $350. The limited edition go for $650, only 300 watches will be made.
