GoPro releases iOS app, lets you remote control your HD HERO2

GoPro has released an app for the iPhone (3GS, 4, 4S and 5), iPad (1, 2 and 3) and iPod Touch that lets you “Connect. View. Control.” an HD HERO2 remotely.

The app is free but you’ll need to get a $99.99 Wi-Fi BacPac add-on accessory for your GoPro camera in order to use it and it isn’t compatible with the older HD HERO model.

You can remotely set up the settings, switch modes (video, photo, burst, timer, etc.), locate the camera and gain access to the viewfinder.

You can get the app for free here. An Android app is listed as “Coming Soon” so stay tuned.
