Gmail for Android brings Save to Drive option, RTL language support

Google has released an update for the Gmail app on Android. One of the main additions is the presence of a Save to Drive option. Now, along with being able to save attachments to your internal memory, you will also be able to save a file on your Google Drive account, which will save space on your device and make the file accessible from any device that can connect to Google Drive.

Another new feature is support for RTL or right-to-left languages. This includes Arabic, Hebrew and Persian, which are written and read from right to left. It adjusts the UI so it feels more natural to use RTL languages.

The sidebar, which could previously only be accessed in the mail folders and not within the mail itself, can now be accessed from anywhere with a swipe from the left side (or right if you’re using RTL languages).

Lastly, the app now tells you why a mail was sent to your Spam folder.

The update is rolling out and should be available for download.
