Get’em while they’re hot – iPad mini for just $199 at Target

A leaked ad, reportedly belonging to US retailer Target the iPad mini first generation will likely drop 33% to just $199 for a day – this coming Sunday, June 8.

The ad says that stock is limited so you might need to hurry up if you want to get a portable iOS slate for the good price. Other retailers like Walmart and BesBuy have the slate either out of stock or going for a higher price.

Apple itself dropped the iPad mini price recently to $219 for the refurbished model so the Target deal seems pretty sweet.

Keep in mind that for $199 you’re getting a 7.9″ screen of a lowly 768 x 1024 resolution and a pretty outdated dual-core Cortex-A9 processor. For the same cash you could be looking at something like a Nexus 7 (2013) if you’re lucky or even a Nexus 7 (2012), which is оffering a more potent chipset.
