Long flights, delays on tarmacs, and travelling-by-air in general is a huge pain; keeping yourself occupied while your strapped in your seat is a tedious affair and having to load your devices with music and movies is SO 2009.
Well Delta has released Delta Studio, which is the airline’s attempt at providing more in-flight entertainment for its passengers.
As part of Delta’s new initiative, the airline updated its Fly Delta iPad application, which will let fliers stream movies and tv shows on their tablets. You’ll also be able to take a gander at the usual in-flight info like live-maps, travel speed, and all of the typical plane-riding goodness.
The application is free to use for all riders, regardless of class, however, the content will most likely be not. Economy fliers will probably have to fork over some extra cash to watch newer movies.
The service works on Delta’s WiFi, so you’ll need to hold off on your in-flight entertainment until you’re 10,000 feet up in the air.
If you’re hopping aboard a Delta flight any time soon and bringing an iPad along for the journey, then you may want to check this out.
