It was just a couple of days ago when the first ever clone of the yet-unannounced iPhone 6 surfaced for the first time. Back then it went through an extended photo shoot, but today we get to see even more of it.
The device apparently goes by the name Wico i6, and it’s been portrayed in detail in a couple of videos.
This handset may or may not be identical in looks to the smartphone it’s cloning. There’s no way to be sure of that until Apple makes its next flagship device official. But the Wico i6 does look a lot like the supposed iPhone 6 dummy units that have been leaking like crazy over the past few weeks.
And obviously it’s interesting (if not a bit baffling) to see a clone come out into the wild before the product it’s copying – or even before that gets announced. At this rate, maybe we should expect iPhone 7 clones to be out before the end of the year.
Anyway, this particular clone, the Wico i6, comes with a 4.7-inch touchscreen with 1704×960 resolution, a quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, as well as 32GB of built-in storage space. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat – though, as you can see, a build that’s been heavily customized to resemble iOS and maybe fool some people into thinking this device is made by Apple.
