Ever wish that there was a dedicated app where you could just complain anonymously?
Well now there is a way to express yourself to a group of strangers within a dedicated mobile application: it’s called Vent.
There are five emotions that you can pick from: Calm, Irritated, Annoyed, Angry, and Furious. After you select a state of emotional being, you can then pen down your rant and say whatever is on your mind. You’re given the option to post your location, but like most apps, you can disable this, just in case you’re uber-paranoid about someone tracking you down and finding out how much you hate being stuck in traffic.
After you share your anguish with the world, users can like and comment on your posts, and even follow your Vent feeds. The app also lets you filter posts by emotions, so if you want to find other like-minded, furious individuals, you’ll be able to do so easily.
The theory behind the app is that sometimes people need to let whatever is bothering them off of their chests, but don’t necessarily want their personal identities associated with their emotions.
An update to the application should add additional emotions and a possible option of possibly chatting with other Vent users. If you want to get to complaining incognito, then you’ll need an iOS device to do so; the Android version has yet to be released, though it is on the way.
