Android 5.0.1 factory images go live on AOSP

Android 5.0.1 factory images have made their way to the Android Open Source Project database. The new OS build is available to download for the wi-fi versions of HTC Nexus 9, Asus Nexus 7, and Samsung Nexus 10.

As its release number suggests, Android 5.0.1 Lollipop will be a minor update over version 5.0. The release will likely bring only minor changes to the platform.

Rumor has its that version 5.0.1 will be available for Android Wear devices. A recent report suggests that the new OS version will bring a host of improvements and new features to the wearables, headed by better battery life.
