The Taiwanese tech giant Acer took the wraps off an all-in-one Chrome OS desktop with a 21.5” touchscreen. Acer Chromebase will hit the shelves at some point in the second quarter this year.
Acer Chromebase packs a Tegra K1 chipset with quad-core CPU and 4GB of RAM. There is no word about the device’s built-in storage, though we do know that the Chromebase will come with 100GB of Google Drive for two years.
The 21.5” touchscreen of the desktop is an IPS unit with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Connectivity options of the Chrome OS machine include USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi a/b/g/n. An HD webcam and a 3W stereo speakers complete the setup.
Pricing of the Acer Chromebase is yet to be revealed.
