The ICONIA Tab A500 tablet has a 10.1” capacitive touchscreen, which can track up to 10 touch points. Coupled with the 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 the screen will have plenty of work – Flash 10.1 videos, 3D gaming and FullHD content.
Of course FullHD content is best viewed on a large TV – and the HDMI port with 1080p output has that covered. Speaking of ports, the Acer ICONIA Tab packs both a microUSB port and a regular full-size USB port.
The Tab A500 has a sleek brushed aluminum back and is just 13.3mm thick. It runs Android (2.2 Froyo for now, but it will launch with Honeycomb) enhanced with Acer UI 4.5.
The powerful CPU and graphics from the NVIDIA Tegra 2 coupled with the responsive touchscreen and gyroscope have Acer confident – they claim the ICONIA Tab A500 will provide a gaming experience comparable to game consoles.
