Atom D525 and D425 available, Intel gets further into wireless with Wireless Displays

Both new CPUs – the D525 and D425 – run at 1.8GHz and both feature Hyper-Threading. But the Intel Atom D525 is dual-core (so, 4 threads in total) and has 1MB of L2 cache, while the Atom D425 is single-core with 512KB L2 cache. Both CPUs work with the NM10 Express chipset and support DDR3 RAM.

The Intel Wireless Display technology sends the video signal over a wireless connection to an adapter connected to the TV. This technology is now available on more than 25 laptops with Core i3 and i5 CPUs from a number of manufacturers and retailers in the US – including Amazon, Best Buy, Tiger Direct, Fry’s and others. Currently you’ll need a NETGEAR Push to TV adapter hooked up to your TV set via HDMI or analog TV-out to use Wireless Display.
