I guarantee 20 % of X-box purchases are from people who need new ones after the hardware malfunctioned. Ask any one of your friends who has an X-box how many he/she has had to buy.

I’ve got the newest model, DVD drive failed to read discs, controller disconnects from console. Had to ship it in for repairs. Can’t understand why the newest Xbox 360 still uses an external powerbrick, proprietary hdd, no built in browser, no BT, proprietary charging cable and can’t transfer files to the hdd. Feels like such a waste of 200 bucks. I understand it’s easier to program for and ppl like the controller better for fps’s, I get all of that, seriously though this thing is so outdated and unreliable. Guess I’m just tried of Xbox fanboys running around screaming oh I love my Xbox! When asked what exactly it is they love about it, they say cross game chat or just draw a blank. Some of them try to get technical, ‘it’s got pixels and stuff’. LoL

Its more likely that the Wii actually had no big game in the whole 2011 besides Skyward Sword, and is wasnt a system-seller

Being an owner of all 3 consoles I'm surprised PS3 still hasn't become the out performer. Each to their own I guess. I do enjoy my seemingly 'free' multiplayer experience via the PSNetwork but I also guess Sony's security breach didn't do them any favours there... It'll be interesting to see how the Wii U fares in this equation once it is released. I would be very interested to see the impact of Video Game Prices for all consoles once a new competitor enters the arena!

Uh yeah, this states that the X360 is the best selling console in 2011 – rather than ‘top selling console worldwide’.

In lifetime sales, it’s 33 million sales behind the Wii.

Still got a lot of catching up to do.
