@3aceac2104dec971a40beb4b7d18effa:disqus I see what you are saying.. But that dont seem to be the statement in the article.. Read it out.. It clearly says one ultrabook is a copy of other with 13" display etc etc and then says samsung wants to change that.. so they've come up with 15" ultrabook and immediately states "now that's innovation" ... Reallly..................????? And even if what u say is all what gsmarena wanted to indicate.. still it doesnt come under innovation.. retina display was innovation.. super amoled was innovation.. 41MP pureview is innovation.. this is just redesign.. a change over.. additional features over a regular one....

Why those guys don't think 11"???
Till now, that is only Air that comes in this size. Jobs was brilliant.
Ain't it weird? The concept behind Ultrabooks is mobility, so, bigger sizes are heading nowhere.
I wished to buy Samsung Series9 with 11" but it seems they are driving the wrong direction.

Ultrabooks should stay 13". I and probably many other would rather buy a real notebook, with some battery life, cooling and performance than a 15" ultrabook. Plus, have you seen the prices on this things? I just saw an Acer ultrabook more expensive than an Asus ROG gaming laptop (!!!). That's what i call "computer fashion".

Apple actually ripped Sony off in regards to the keyboard. Sony had the island-style keys since back in 2001 with their first X series (which was also the thinest machine at the time).

What I find disappointing today is that only Sony (and there is one other maker I can't remember any more) offers full HD 13'' screens today. That started with the VPC-Z1, and is still offered on the VPC-Z2. The VGN-Z series were also one of the first machines on the market offering a 13.1'' screen with a 1600x900 res display.

And finally. Brightness. I don't really care how bright a screen can get. End of the day I set it at around 50% to 75% as that's plenty enough. So I'm curious as to why manufacturers today ain't focusing more on colour reproduction capabilities, instead making screens uber bright.

Don't get me wrong. As a Korean there's that attachment I get towards Samsung as a brand. But for laptops, my VGN-Z right now, despite being near 4 years old, is only rivalled size, weight, and performance wise (all together) by the VPC-Z1 and Z2 themselves. Maybe the MacBook Pro 13 but those don't have on-demand GPUs.
