this actually makes sense, samsung will have an OS of their own, thus having more control and avoiding the lawsuit against android but does not need to entice developers to develop apps for it as it is compatible with android applications. So when they enter the market with this OS, they dont need to start from scratch, they will take off with the same apps offered to android.

Are you kidding? Samsung making WP 8 is an OK.

But with Nokia Maps and/or Nokia Drive is not OK. Those apps are proprietary from Nokia. Unless Samsung want to be sued by Nokia, they wont use those apps. Users of other devices than Nokia still can install them on their device by side-load them, if they somehow acquired the installers (which illegal in term of service).

why we need a new OS which ressembles BADA/DROID ? Sammy needs to innovate something new….new WP8 (beautiful tiles and much better multitasking ,SD card support and Folder support with a smooth and elegant perofmance) will kill ios atleast with in 2 years….Don’t forget the Pureview technology from Nokia with Nokia Maps (new version) Nokia Drive and almost 1L app support will make things brighter for windows….If Tizen brings some new cool feautres with a much better design (No like Galaxy series) then it stand a little chance…
