Easy. Phones are sold in millions a day. Tablets only thousands. Producers earn more on mobile phones thus there is more competition. So to sell more they have to please customer with fancy stuff like HD resolution in displays

Why is is that all of the just announced smartphones boast 1920×1080 full HD on 5″ screens whereas tablets must make do with 1280×800 on a 7″ screen? It seems to me as there’s no middle ground here.

I think the Samsung cores will beat it, just like the tegra 3 and the next QUALCOMM cores will beat both

It will beat the dual core 5250 chipset on nexus 10 as well as the s4 pro. But it would be interesting if it stands up against the exynos 5450 quad core 2/2.5ghz coming on sgs4. That will pretty much be the battle highlight of soc’s this year.
